Eyes Wide Open!

Eye creams are essential. Developed to heal and protect the delicate eye area different formulations including comprehensive systems of peptides, chelators, antioxidants, vasoconstrictors, moisturizers and more are specifically designed to increase firmness and tightness, reduce the appearance of under-eye puffiness & dark under-eye circles, enhance skin texture and reduce the visible signs of aging around the eyes.

AHA Know-How
Alpha Hydroxy Acids, commonly known as fruit acids are one of the many key ingredients found in skin care products today. They work by breaking down the protein bond that hold together the dead cells on the surface of the skin. The cells are lifted away to reveal brighter, plumper cells underneath. This gentle process cleans and clears blackheads, improves skintone and softens the appearance of fine lines.

The Brush Off!
Which ones are really needed! Powder, blush and eyeshadow are a must. Kabuki brushes are the best for mineral loose powders. Dome brushes are for mineral pressed powders. The rest such as comouflage, lip, eyeliner, brow and dusters are wonderful extras. Remember natural hair bristles (goat and sable) are best for applying powder evenly. Synthetic bristles are best for applying liquids or creams because they don't soak up the wet product.

Glossary
Lip gloss helps to keep lips soft and supple and gives your lips a hint of color. Use it on its own or over the lipstick to add a bit of moisture.

Aroma Overload?
Perfume - where to apply and just how much? Keep scent application to one or two points. Spritz one wrist, then touch wrists together. Or dab between breasts where the warmth diffuses the scent. Or the back of knees, where the scent rises and envelopes the body. Never rub! This can squash delicate scent molecules which alter the fragrance.

A Trade Secret!
Frizzy hair? After wash and condition, gently squeeze out excess moisture with a towel. Do not rub. When using a blow dryer, wait until hair is partially dry, then use a round brush to completely dry. Use smoothing products that are silicone-based to help seal and coat the hair. And remember - the less the hair is handled the less frizzies there will be!

Lighten The Load!
Upgrade laundry habits and health with vegetable based, enviroment friendly detergents. Americans wash about 35 billion loads annually contributing an unbelievable dose of irritants and pollution to the enviroment. Choose from the growing selection of health friendly alternatives.
